Three little, newborn kittens were dumped in a friends planter, they were in a box, so not abandoned by a feral, but dumped by someone calling him/herself human. Still had the umbilical cord attached. Unclear how long they were in place (hot sun) before discovered. My daughter told the finder she will try to take care of them, got in touch with a local rescue for advise and dedicated her time and energy to feeding hourly at first.
One of them didn't make it, the other two, a male and a female, are now 12 days old, look like real kittens, thriving and Joann's dog Sparky helps take care of them, he cleans their bottoms :)
Thought you all may enjoy an up-beat story, they are sort of rare.
