We have a cat who is 8 years old with chronic feline herpes. We give her a half capsule of L-lysine daily and that seems to keep her going. Recently, however (for the past 3+ months) she has suffered from diahhrea. We've taken her to a local vet who has tried three treatments ... the first being Metronidazole (antibiotics), the second was Albon (another antibiotic?), and the third was Prednisone (a steroid) in addition to Profender (a wormer). Nothing has worked out. While things sort of improved with the steroid, it didn't eliminate the diahhrea completely, even while administering it. At this point, I wonder what we might try to resolve the problem. Any valid suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
