It's a synthetic form of a cat's "friendly" hormone that calms them down.

Feliway worked wonders in my house.

Please do not use a shock collar.

How long has this been going on? I guess you've got two kings merging into the same household. Sometimes they work these things out on their own. I've had cats not get along for well over a year and then become good friends -- even when one is behaving like a wild attack cat (just crazy tossling, no one was getting hurt, but she did not have claws). Two females, and a male-female. I kept them separated as necessary and did gentle, mostly positive verbal coaching and encouragement, that's about it.

Treats work wonders. Get them in the same room and start doling out the treats, getting them closer together as they eat them. It will take time, but they will realize that being face to face with their enemy means treats! Do this all over the house so they don't associate the treats and praise with just one room, they are safe in all rooms.

Also, our cats bonded over catnip. We were laughing so hard, all four of them rolling around on their own sprinkling of catnip and not giving a care in the world about what the others were doing. Minutes before it was a hiss-fest, then it looked like a love den!

Very good ideas, cornsnake!! You have to make it loving, positive and fun.

I would also try a comfort collar!
