Shubunkin has red mark on his head

I have a Shubunkin living with a couple of comets all seem to be in good health and not distressed in any way although last week I noticed a red circle on the forehead of the Shubunkin< I thought it was a cut of someking but seems on the skin> have read about red spots but this is one solitary red flash on his headThe fish are about 18 monthsto 2 years old

..any thoughts advice.. ?

It could be an injury, parasite, or just a change of color. Check your water chemistry and any areas in the tank where your fish may have injured itself. Is the tank large enough for all three fish?
