| Primal Pet Foods recalled its Feline Chicken & Salmon Formula of cat food with a best by date code of 043112-17 because it could be contaminated with salmonella, said the _U.S. Food and Drug Administration_
(http://www.fda. gov/Safety/ Recalls/ucm25716 0.htm) . Salmonella affects pets much the same way it affects humans in that they could get diarrhea, vomit or have a fever. The FDA said so far, no pet or consumer has reported getting sick. Included in the recall is the four-pound bag of chicken and salmon nuggets with a UPC number of 8 95135 00025 0. It was sold in pet stores nationwide. Consumers should take the cat food back to the store or take in the store receipt for the food for a refund. Call the company at (866) 566-4652 weekdays between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST with questions. |
