 o
non-urine cat spray?

OK, I know this sounds weird, but I'm really curious. My 4 year old boy kitty was on my lap (on top of a wool throw). We were nuzzling. He did some kneading. And we generally cuddled for awhile. Then he jumped off to go do something else. I realized that my right arm was wet! I sniffed and it wasn't urine, but it sure wasn't pleasant--sweet/sickly smell. The wool throw also had an area that smelled the same. The kitty came trotting back over, sniffed the throw and began licking it!
He has never sprayed (and this didn't smell like that anyway). What happened? And do I really want to know?

sorry for the duplicate question! But this first posting wasn't here when I checked a few minutes ago, so I posted a second one.
