Like mazer, they're not my first choice, but they do work in certain situations. DS had one for their 3 small dogs that wouldn't come when called but someone was always with the dogs when they were in the IF area. While DS/DIL were at work, the dogs used a dog door that led to an area with a cyclone fence.
