Can cats have pollen allergies?

I have had my cat almost two years now and a few times a year she gets drippy eyes. They are just a bit wet - no sign of pain or inflammation in the eyes. This time it started the very day the tree pollen levels shot up and my allergies appeared. I know I am allergic to tree pollen, but can my cat be allergic, too? It doesn't seem to bother her. I wipe them a few times a day with a tissue or TP to keep them clean.
