Distemper in Toronto

Posted by eccentric (My Page) on

I called my vet today to make sure my Eskimo was vaccinated against distemper - I was sure he was since he is vaccinated for everything - including lepto - but I was worried due to all of the news reports about the wildlife suffering from distemper - and coming face to face with a raccoon today. I remember a few years ago when 12 dogs in Toronto died from Lepto - I met the survivor whose kidneys were shot. All is well - and I hope this is the case with all of the fuzzbutts living in affected areas.

RE: Distemper in Toronto

There's an outbreak of canine distemper in Fayetteville, NC because some idiots still don't vaccinate their dogs. The local shelter is overwhelmed and dogs are dying left and right. It's stupid and completely preventable.
