| We got him Thursday from an unreliable source (at best.)
His owner said the mom was a Husky-Wolf/Border Collie mix and the dad was either unknown or another Husky-Wolf/Border Collie mix.
There's obvious husky in him but I'm not too sure about the rest :(
He loves the snow, overheats quickly, he's only 2 or 3 months and is already around 20 or so pounds.
Brown eyes, Black nose/muzzle, cropped ears...
You can see a picture of him here:

I'm not sure, but he is very cute. Maybe some spitz? Does his tail curl? Or shepherd? That one foot sticking out looks like a big paw. Could be he'll be pretty big. You could get his DNA tested at your vet. They could tell you for sure what his make up is. A husky is very independent. A border collie is very obedient. Is he showing any tendencies one way or another?

It is hard to tell. Post another pic when the pup is 6 months or more...He could be a mix of anything. Check with your state to determine if he is a wolf hybrid, there may be resptrictions on him. I live in California and they are strickly forbidden to be owned in the state.

Parentage by appearance is often not noticeable until 6 months to a year.

It may be a very bad thing for both you and the dog to get a positive on any kind of wolf, I would leave it alone. I had an Akita Coyote mix, the foster director knew enough to register her as an Akita Chow, she lived a long happy life but she sure howled with the Coyotes.

From the photo he almost looks like a Cream colored Shiba Inu though being almost 20lbs at that young age might make that unlikely.

he looks just like the German Shepherd we had for years except for one small difference. Our dog had larger ears when he was a pup. He was 100% shepherd.
