Leone, I think that Jim, Mwheel and West_gardener all have excellent ideas. You might suggest to SIL to perhaps get George to talking about wood choices, power tool attachments, good finishing techniques, etc. That would give George a chance to share a lot of his knowledge with SIL, even though I imagine SIL is very knowledgeable about power tools. SIL might could get George to record it so he could work on it even when SIL was not around. Hugs to all 3 of you - yep, that includes that Crazy Cat.

I can't help you, but this one does seem different enough that someone can probably ID it if it is actually a registered variety. I don't think I've seen a red semi-double just like that one.

Oh Tergrove, I'm so sorry to hear of your frustration. I think that right now, things are kind of slow here since the transition. Members didn't have their lists, Members had to follow one another in order to privately message one another. Now members have their lists back. Now it is simple to contact other members, if they will all just get their messaging enabled. It is now possible to message others without doing that following business. I would suggest you get your messaging enabled, and maybe just lurk for a while. I'm copying below the instructions for getting set up for trading, and being notified of messages. Below I'm copying phylis's post from The Seed Exchange. Go to https://www.houzz.com/editProfile Edit Profile -> Advanced Settings -> Privacy Settings -> Who can message me -> select "Allow anyone to message me" (near bottom of page) That will place a "MESSAGE" link on your Member page. (Click on my name to see what I mean.) ADDITIONALLY you will not be able to see your OWN message link on YOUR page, so you might ask that someone message you or let you know if they see it. ADDITIONALLY , you will probably want to turn ON getting email alerts whenever you get a new message. On the same Advanced Setting page as noted above choose EMAIL NOTIFICATION...(when) Someone messages me...EVERY TIME. hth. Sue
