My first Parent/Teacher Conference for my Pre-K

I am so excited about this experience! Does anyone else go into a meeting and wondering how you are going to react if there is something negative about your child? Just wondering!

By the way I am celebrating 5 Years CANCER free!

RE: My first Parent/Teacher Conference for my Pre-K

Congratulations on your 5-year mark!

My advice for parent-teacher conferences? Sit down for 15 minutes a few days in advance and try to outline your own concerns about your child. Where is he/she strongest? Where does he/she need improvement.

Then go to the meeting and try not to expect anything! Go with a totally open mind and really listen (non-defensively) to what the teachers have to say.

I was expecting all 'sunshine and roses' with my two boys, and let's just say that wasn't quite how it played out... ;-)

Both boys are doing very well now -- just not what I would have expected prior to my first conference...
