last week i and my husband intended to spend the vacation with our kids in a relative's house near the beach for a week , they were very excited when they heard that, but that may not come true for the other family is going abroad this summer. my poor little boys are upset, i am going to make up for that. anyone have some suggestion?
i saw a castle bouncer in an online shop, it has a water slide, i guess my kids may like playing on cool water in their summer.
this is what i saw online, looks fine if the dimension fit for our yard.

Here is a link that might be useful: castle bouncer

The rest of us have to learn to live with disappointments.
Don't you want your kids to have that same skill?
They'll be much happier in the long run if they do.

Rather than buying them a big new toy, what about brainstorming with them for an enjoyable (and low-cost) way to spend the time?

I agree with sweeby you don't have to "make it up" to them, these things happen in life all the time. Explain the change in plans and and let them help decide what the new plans will be. Maybe day trips to age appropriate activities, especially with animals - "backstage" tours at zoos or animal parks, a visit to a state or county park that has a lake, hands-on museums, a train ride to a nearby city. There are local websites specifically listing activities for children in your town as well as nearby areas. There's probably much more to do than you ever realized and you'll all have a wonderful summer.
