Currently my walls are showing lots of roller marks from the previous paint job That happens when: 1 - You try to spread the paint too thin 2 - You go back and try to "rework" partly dry paint. To prevent this, remember that a loaded roller can do about a 2x2ft square of wall. I make an X with arms about 2 feet long, roll crosswise to spread the paint and finish by rolling vertically. I overlap the previous paint square by a couple of inches on the final rolling. And if you look back and the wall looks horrible and blotchy, it's because it's drying unevenly. This is NOT A PROBLEM! Wait for 24 hours and then evaluate it. I have never had a problem with Behr paint sagging. Pour enough paint in so the flat part of the roller pan is full (not the whole pan!) ... roll the roller towards the deep part until you have completely covered it with paint. Roll it lightly once or twice on the sloping part to remove excess. I always roll towards the deep end, out of the firmly held conviction that it's the best way, but I have no evidence.

I've been following your threads because I know you and your hubby are wonderful, loving people. You are on quite an adventure and those three little girls are blessed to have come into your lives. Advice from a Grandma: (my 4 were spread out over 9 yrs.) When the infant/baby/toddler is napping, YOU NAP! (I'd tell my older kids that I was gonna nap & they should answer the phone & wake me when the baby woke up.) Laundry, picking up toys, etc., is a hassle when the kids are up, BUT, YOU NAP when they do! Son & DDIL had a 4 & 1/2 yr. old, an almost 2 yr. old & were blessed with premie twins. CHAOS! I lived 900 miles away, but came for a couple of wks. at a time to help. When the little ones napped, DDIL would put on a movie for the eldest and she & I would PASS OUT until a little one woke up. Maybe dinner would be late, or the laundry wasn't done, but we both could function better for the rest of the day with a nap. You said that you don't have family near to help, but can you get someone to come & schedule a "break" in 3-4 mos. when you & DH can just get away? The other Grandma called me when the twins were 4 mos. & told me our children were "burning out" and needed a break (no sleep, 3 in diapers, 3 needing to be fed.) She and I took over & kicked our kids out for 3 days. They went to a motel and said they mostly slept! You both need time together away from the chaos. Something else that no one mentioned. . . .You WILL have to go to the ER for stitches, x-rays (maybe casts), dentist for busted teeth, etc. --it happens, no matter how careful a parent you are. Head/face wounds bleed A LOT but can usually be taken care of with OTC skin glue you get at a drug store (A now 7 yr. old twin got a head wound glued last week on vacation.) If a face wound is severe enough to require stitches, you can request, in the ER, to have plastic surgeon do the stitches (eldest grandson had a plastic surgeon for face wounds 3 time before he was 8!) You sound like a natural at being a MOM, but there are things us Moms learn along the way that can "head you off at the pass." Like others have said about ground rules. And you've been doing that (with the "naughty chair'!) It sound like from your postings that you're being an awesome Mom! Many blessings for all 5 of you! Pat

Need a nap in the daytime can certainly be a symptom of a sleep disorder. It can also be a "symptom" of old age and less activity. I don't know anyone my age who doesn't say that they often fall asleep at night during the regular Primetime TV shows. Some do have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine, but they still doze off. Others take naps due to health issues that cause fatigue. My late mother had Lupus and had always turned up her nose a her sister who took a daily nap; she found she herself truly had to do so. Some people find a short nap is an energizer, the "executive power nap". There are as many reasons as there are people. Yes, if one sleeps well during the night and feels exhausted the next morning, a sleep study done by a specialist is in order. If one falls asleep early and then wakes up and has insomnia for hours, this should be checked. If one regularly has a drink or two before dinner or wine/beer with a meal and falls asleep afterwards, blame the alcohol and cut back or cut it out altogether. My late FIL had two rum and tonics for decades, each night before dinner. When he reached his mid-80's, he had no trouble going to sleep (and actually went up pretty early) but would awaken in the night and lie awake for hours. His doctor told him to cut back to ONE rum & tonic before bedtime, but he was a stubborn old cuz and said he'd done the same thing for 60 years and was not changing. Oh well... A bit of "sleeping over a good book" or dozing off while watching TV is usually nothing morbid that requires any treatment.
