It CAN work, as long as the small pieces are either a SMALL % of the whole volume, or if the term 'small' is relative. What I mean by that is: You can mix 1/8" pieces with any % of 1/4" pieces and still come up with a soil that holds no perched water, because 1/8" particle size is about where the perched water table disappears. On the other hand, if you have a soil that is half dust to 1/8" and the other half 1/8-1/4", you'll have a soil with an average particle size that retains a considerable amount of perched water. Another way of saying it is: A soil of all 1/8" particles will hold no perched water, but a soil with an AVERAGE particle size of 1/8" will. I think he is cute. I hope you gave Mr. hopping flycatcher a good home outside of the pits, but maybe in the yard? You won't regret it. I had a pair living in the leaf litter under my alba roses. Between them and the birds, I had very few flies, and I lived in dairy country.

This is so broad and lacking of details. Is it "not right" meaning you just don't like it now or is one door white and one is cream colored? If you have painted cabinets, there really shouldn't be any noticeable variation. If you have stained or natural wood cabinets especially highly figured ones , then the variation could be huge - depending on how the grading was done and what kind of matching program was in place at the manufacturer.

My daughter found out her roommates two weeks ago. She unfortunately was placed in a quad (supposed to be a triple but due to over-enrollment, they added a fourth to her room!). We have no idea what the space is going to be like b/c tho' she saw the dorm during her visit, it only had three people, not four. So obviously there will not be much space or storage. Since that's the case, we really can't plan very well as we have no idea if she will even have under bed storage! Since she found out so late about her roommates, we didn't have time to coordinate bedding, even if they had wanted to. The only thing they have really discussed are things like - if anyone will bring a fridge, a microwave, a Keurig, etc. We have to fly to her school so we did the BBB Pack and Store and will pick her things up when we get there. So we don't even have bins or anything b/c we don't know what she will be able to have/use. Lynn, I remember pictures of at least one of your dd's rooms - I think it may have been the sorority room. I remember that I loved it! Next year dd will most likely live in a double, or off campus so decorating will be much easier and fun!
