how to teach a baby to swim

When my younger son was a baby (he's now 23), I found a book written by an Australian woman as I recall, about teaching babies to swim. I had access to a pool and began teaching him at about age 5 months. I don't remember much about it except for a few things: one technique was to blow in the baby's face (it makes him hold his breath) as you lower him into the water. He loved it. For a long time he always swam with his eyes open because of those early experiences. In addition, when we watched our two boys in a pool, we could easily see a difference between him and his older (by 3 years) brother, who did not learn to swim as an infant.

I'd like to find a copy of that book to give as a gift. But I can't remember the name of the book or the author.

Can anybody help me? Thanks.

Maybe you can look on EBay and find something. Try putting in a few key words in the search engine and see if anything looks familiar. Make sure to check "search title and description" for the best success. Or try amazon.com.
