| Perhaps a gift certificate to a nice clothing store so she can buy herself something nice to wear when she is too small for maternity clothes but still too big for her regular clothes? Or a gift certificate for a nice dinner out for her and her husband and include one of yourselves as a babysitter? It's nice to have some "alone time" with your spouse when the baby is a month or two old. A gift certificate for a one-time cleaning by a cleaning service to be used right before she comes home from the hospital, or on a day when she has an outing with the baby. These are just off of the top of my head- Keli, mother of a 12 year old and an 8 month old. |
