how long until they're here?`

*UGH* I NEED SLEEP! Timberly's two top teeth have decided it's time to make their appearance...they're red, swollen, and I'm sure they're very sore...I really don't want to keep her doped up on tylenol or motrin all the time, but I NEED SLEEP~ :D...(PS, just to cover my rear here, I only give her a dose of either before bed and if she wakes up screaming bloody murder in the early am). I can't remember how long it took for the bottom ones to cut through, but I certainly know it wasn't this painful to her (at least, I'm guessing so by the degree of discomfort she is showing)! Have you all had experience with the top teeth being worse than the bottom? I think someone once told me that...O-WEll...I guess I'll just keep telling myself "I love being a mommy. It's only a phase, I love being a mommy. It's only a phase!" :D

I think each kid has different reactions to different teeth. I remember DS's worst were his 2 year old molars. He actually got them before he was 2 and he still at 2 1/2 doesn't have the ones that are in front. He got very cranky and had a fever when those ones were coming in. I always felt horrible because I'd get mad since he was being so cranky and everything and then I'd see the swollen gums and realize he couldn't help it! Good luck. It shouldn't take too long but again, it just depends on the child and everything.

My daughter needed teething gel and tylenol with her first several teeth. She would wake up out of a sound sleep with teething pain. Once the tooth popped through she was fine!

God Bless you and your family!
