Annoyed

One of the few things I wanted for Christmas were nursing PJ's. Anyway, my mom bought me regular PJ's that button b/c the store she was in didn't have maternity (like she doesn't go shopping every week anyway). My MIL bought me nursing PJs that were shorts (hello, it's winter). Anyway, I was wearing the nursing short set last night and when I woke up (with DD next to me) the button cover was off and lying next to us! Total choking hazard on a shirt designed to use with babies. She bought them at Sears and now I probably can't even return them and I didn't like them to start with.

Annoyed.

I'd return them.

And if the associate wouldn't accept them, I'd speak to a manager. And if the manager wouldn't help, I'd call their corporate office.

I'm nasty that way : )

I'm nasty that way, too! I would take them back and raise h*ll. I would also go ahead and write a letter to Sear's corporate office regarding this product line and a letter to the manufacturer.
Several years ago I was making magaritas and the blade to the blender broke off and we didn't realize it until it was served up. You can bet I let the retailer and the maker know about it! Got a new blender - different brand. And now I always check my blender and food processor to make sure the blade is intact after use. ~ Suzie

"Nursing Nightgown"? Not sure how that works. If I use comfy sleeping bottoms then I just pull up nightgown/shirt. voila.

Just so you know, Sears has an excellent reputation for returns, without receipts and several months after items have been purchased. I've had to bring a few items in and had no problems.
I would also be calling up the manufacturer of those pjs, too, though.

Try reporting it to the Consumer Products Safety Commission - link below.
Their home page has a link to report unsafe products.

Here is a link that might be useful: CPSC

Definately return them AND write to the manufacturer of those PJ's. If buttons fall off then they can use velcro, whatever but that's awful.
