Hi, came across this thread in looking for a place to sell our (still-in-box) leftover tile. I see the resounding statements that people don‘t want small quantity, and while I believe donating is a great way to go, I badly need to try and recoup some cost. When i was choosing tile for our project, if someone had been selling any quantity of the same tile (new in box) at discount, I would have been delighted to buy that and thereby reduce quantity I had to buy at full price. 40 boxes of tile is more expensive than 30 boxes boxes, particularly when dealing with high-end product! I feel like there *should* be a market for this; any help or tips woild be greatly appreciated! To the original poster, Corinne, I know this post is 4 years old, but is there a place we may see the list you compiled? thanks!

Maybe the solution is a fan/light combination such as this Nutone 744NT which appears to be a simple recessed light when installed. It uses a standard bulb so you could install a bulb of whatever brightness and color temperature you wanted. build.com has lots of fan/light combinations like this including the Panasonic FV-08-VRE2*. *The Panasonic uses a harder-to-find GU24-base bulb.

MG is correct. LRV has one job - it tells you how much light a color reflects and that's all it does. It doesn't tell you anything about dull, muted or Lightness Value. Many think that LRV indicates how light or dark a color looks. And that is not correct. Again, LRV tells you HOW MUCH light a color reflects. End of story. Value, either Lightness Value (L*) in CIELAB color space or Value (V) in the Munsell system are the only two notations that directly describe how light or dark a color LOOKS. Any correlation between HOW MUCH light is reflected and how that quantity of light LOOKS in terms of lighter or darker is purely subjective. Because, obviously, how that quantity of light is perceived is an individual human perception. Gloss levels in architectural coatings don't qualify as reflectors for several reasons. Substrates (walls) that aren't absolutely glass-smooth is one example. What people describe as "reflective" in high gloss finishes is in reality just flash points spots of glare. The truth is paint is a poor reflector of light beams; even the higher sheens are not able to toss a relevant amount of light back into the space.
