Moving around in the pack and play

Posted by newmom (My Page) on

When DD wakes up each morning in her pack and play she is completely sideways. It Cracks DH and I up. Taylor is almost 3 months and has been doing this since she was 2 months old. Does your baby move around, scoot around in the crib? If so, how old are they?

RE: Moving around in the pack and play

I've been visiting my folks for 2 weeks and my 10 mo old DS is sleeping in his pack 'n play. He always wakes up in some weird position...lately it is across the very top-sideways. Then he wakes up, I guess, because he can't get himself reoriented. I've had problems with nightwaking with him for a long time. I've finally decided that there are 2 problems...he is a very light and fitfull sleeper, and he wasn't getting enough calories at the last meal to get him through the night. The latter I can control...the other I can't! He is like that in his crib at home, too!

My DD is 3 months and since 2 months old has been found curled into a ball at the bottom of her crib and turned in all different directions. It makes me crack up when I see her like that. When you think I put her to bed in the straight position like it makes any difference anyways.

Its why I won't use a blanket even though my dd is 7 months old. She is a bed bug. I have to go in at least one or twice a night an unhook her from the slates in the bed. My ped told me not to use the bumper pad so I'm not sure is worse. a bumper pad or a having to untangle her.

why did he say not use the bumper pad?

She felt it just isn't worth the risk of suffocation (though unlikely at this age) I just can't knowly put the bumper pad there now. you know.
