Wasn't sure, can someone answer this?

If your period did not return after the birth of your little one yet and you have intercourse, can you still get pregnant or do you have to wait until you get your period after giving birh to get pregnant?

You CAN get pregnant before you get your first period. You ovulate, then get a period. So, if you've ovulated, it's possible to get pregnant (my neighbor's kids aren't quite 10 months apart; and YES, she breastfed!).

You most definitely CAN get pregnant. Like Bad Wife said, you ovulate first, then get a period.

I also read that it's easier to get pregnant right after having a baby than if you try later on. Be careful. Some things out there are old wives tales and nothing more.

You're most fertile during the 1st 6 mos after childbirth, you may not have a period but you still ovulate. Maybe you should monitor when you ovulate w/ the tests they sell, this way you will know when you're ovulating even though you don't have your period.

Do you know there are actually STILL doctors who tell women that breastfeeding and/or lack of a menstrual period makes it impossible for them to get pregnant?? It's an absolute outrage to me. If a doctor ever tells you that, DO NOT believe it!

Unless you want to have back to back children - some women do, many don't - use birth control!!
