Is it teething?

For the past few weeks and especially the past few days, my DS has had such a hard time sleeping. When we put him down for the night he is usually up wihtin an hour or 2, fussing and unable to fall back asleep. I am wondering if he is teething more severely in the night. The past week he has been drooling up a storm - big pools of saliva and also he has been gnawing on anything he can get his mouth on. When he sleeps with us, he is up every hour or so and so I nurse him back to sleep. I know that he is not eating, but sucking for comfort. I am concerned because he use to sleep for at least a 4 - 5 hour stretch and he is not doing this any more! Now we are lucky if we can get a 3 hour stretch. Any advice would be appreciated!

Maybe teething with the drool but maybe a growth spurt. One thing about babies, you cant get too comfortable. My DD changes routine as soon as I get used to old one.

Is there a growth spurt at about 7 - 8 months?? My DS is 7 months.

My 7 mo old gained 1.5 pounds this past month and grew about 1 inch. I don't know when the "spurts" are supposed to happen but nothing fits anymore.
