Babblin Boo Doll

Does anyone know what the Babblin Boo doll says? My daughter received the gift for Christmas and we can't figure out what Boo is saying.

I would also like to know! The only thing we can make out clearly is Mike Wazowski & Kitty. The song is what's bothering us too and not sure what Luka Luka is? Our DD loves her BOO!

I did find this at ToysRUs website and I agree about the bear being taken away from her, she doesn't react.

Bright-eyed Boo wants to have a conversation... but we're not exactly sure what the topic is. This replica of the young girl who is accidentally allowed into Monstropolis in Pixar's film Monsters, Inc. is made of hard plastic; wears a comfy-looking T-shirt, purple pants, and white socks; sports two ponytails held up with pompom bands; and holds on to Little Mikey, a one-eyed and four-footed Teddy bear. With articulation points at the hips, shoulders, and head, Boo is easy to pose and can either sit down or stand up. As for the "babblin'," that word sums it up perfectly. Push on her belly and she will giggle, sing, or say a phrase in an adorably young, although somewhat tinny voice. We didn't quite understand what she was saying, though, and one phrase actually sounded Hawaiian. The package claims that Boo will cry when Little Mikey is taken from her arm, but that didn't happen--not necessarily a bad thing from our point of view. --Pam Lauer

Hi everyone and thank you! Sorry to just respond now. I still had to keep my job...lol! Pax...It's not that hard to post pics once I have my photbucket open. It's the choosing of which pics from the stored pics (gosh I don't know how many they are) in the camera that takes time. This Baby Doll was planted waaaayyyy to late in the season for Hadeco bulbs. That is the reason for the short scapes. The second scape it produced was 2" taller than the scape pictured above. It will definitely improve next season. I have right now other Hadeco bulbs, also planted late in the season, that are having a very hard time giving out any kind of growth, scapes or leaves. Poor Vesuvius produced a 2" scape followed by a 3"second scape and the third scape is now 4"tall...lol! I really do recomend planting Hadeco bulbs by December, the latest. Jodik...Isn't our 'mislabeled Rilona' a beauty? Funny how we end up with the same bulb instead of a Rilona. This could possibly be the growers fault. I can't remember if this bulb came with a growers tag. But the Clown that I bought from the same store had a Langeveld tag. Did yours had this tag? I have a very strong feeling that this is Trendsetter. My Trensetter did not bloom. :-( Soultan, did your Trendsetter flower yet?

Okay, everybody, break it up! rjinga, I certainly meant no offense by my posting, I was just reminiscing about seeing these two paintings 'in the flesh'. I felt it was a totally magical experience, and get the same feelings everytime I see them, whether it be repro paintings, on a coffe mug, whatever. I think they look great in your guest room. Please humor me for a minute and try something. Would you consider swapping the pictures? They were painted by two different artists and are not a 'set', but Pinky is turned ever so slightly to her left and Blue Boy is ever so slightly to his right. By having them face each other, I get a sense of accord and harmony. Please give it a try and let me know what you think. Barbara

Steph, Grant is so handsome and I love it when you post his smiling face. My Great Nephew Joey is one month older and isn't walking unaided yet. They grow up so fast though don't they? I was just catching up on posts from last week and read your Mom's post how you had to be rushed to the hospital. My heart was in my mouth reading it. Help! Pen Ink on 'Babblin' Boo' doll!!

I get Ink on my clothes all the time. I register patients at a hospital and I am forever putting a uncapped pen in my pocket. What works for all us in admitting is, hair spray. The cheaper the better it will work. It will run the second it hits the ink so be ready with a paper towel. Then wash it with soap and water. Not sure if it will help with the yellow tint. Sherry

Our DD has a Babblin' Boo and it took me awhile to figure out the taking Little Mikey away thing. You have to place his eye on Boo's chest (just below her shoulder level) and she should laugh. Then she screams when you take Little Mikey away.

As far as the song goes, I know it doesn't match the song she sings while sitting on the potty in the movie... but it is close.

That's about all I could figure out besides what the above posters have said...

To make Mikey work put him facing the middle of her chest. She will giggle. Then take him away, she will scream.
