anyone have experience with listening therapy

It has been suggested for my DS who has sensory integration dysfunction. Does anyone have a child who has gone through listening therapy, and did it help?

TIA!

RE: anyone have experience with listening therapy

I think this might be what they call an auditory processing disorder. It sounds great, so many kids go with no treatment at all. I would think any listening therapy would be beneficial. I have seen auditory bingo where there are pictures of things on the bingo cards and the child hears the sounds on a cassette and matches the sound to the picture. This would improve any child's auditory skills but especially one with a processing disorder. I wish you the best of luck!
