| I wanted to post some pictures of the paper dolls I made my daughter for Christmas, but I don't know how to make my image smaller! Does anyone know how to reduce the size of the picture? Well, here's what I did-I bought a sewing pattern Butterick 3280 to sew "paper dolls" for her, but as Christmas got closer I ran out of time. LOL! So I used my cards stocks and colored paper and traced the pattern onto the back side using carbon paper. And then I used markers, stamps, etc. to embelish them. And then I laminated everything and used velcro dots to hold the clothes on. They came out really cute and she loves them!

| Look and see what kind of photo program you have. Open that up and then go to file and get your photo. Usually there will be a button to click that will say something like resize. Click on that and play around with it. then save the new picture with a different name Keeping the original intact In case you do something wrong. What I do is save it in my file cabinet. I have a folder I made called Photos. Then see how big the size is so it will fit the gallery of 61 I think it is. Try it. Let me know if I can help anymore. |

| Hiya Jennifer! Long time no see! Your dolls sound wonderful...can't wait to have a look at them! My photo program(Photoshop) has an option to compress the jpeg image, allowing me to choose between low, medium & high. Choosing "low" will make the image MOST compressed, and keeping it a smaller file size. If you are scanning, try scanning at 50% size and use a resolution of 72 dpi. If you are using a digital camera you might have to make the resolution and the image size smaller, depending on your camera settings. I wish there was a definite set of directions, but it all depends on the software you have on hand. If you cannot get it small enough to post, you can email it to me and I will post it for you. | I would love to see the pictures! I have wanted to make paper dolls in my photo program and use actual pictures for the face. Then print them onto card stock or magnet sheets. But I haven't taken the time to try it. |

| Jennifer, they look just wonderful! The doll and two of her outfits are in the gallery. No wonder she liked them so much! How old is your little girl? You can use those patterns to make even more variations, just by changing the colors in the clothes or the length of a sleeve or hem. If you want to share some of the other outfits, just LMK! Karen |

| These are so sweet. I especially like the halloween outfit |

| Jennifer, those are great! I agree, the Halloween outfit is terrific! BTW, I like Irfanview as a quick way to resize photos. It's free, too. |

| Thanks! My daughter loves them. I made her 1 doll and 6 outfits, and I told her we can go out and pick out some paper she likes and I'll make her another doll and some more outfits. She already has a green checkered sheet to make another Dorothy dress! I will check out the Irfanview, maybe that will help me out. LOL! ~Jennifer |
