The earliest I've ever planted peas is the first week in April. I don't know where you are, but up here the ground is just too cold before that for the seeds to germinate or to grow if I pregerminate them. (We often still get one or two good snowfalls in April.) Regardless, they don't do too much before mid April this far north (a bit north of Concord, NH.) Raised beds or a bed cover before planting to help warm the soil might tweek this time a couple of weeks earlier. You can plant several successive plantings of peas a couple of weeks apart to get continuous peas until about early August around here, though in Mass or farther south it's probably not quite as late. Potatoes are another crop that you can plant quite early, and I love the varied flavors and textures you can get in homegrown potatoes that aren't available in the store. After Memorial Day is usually suggested for warm weather crops, like tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, etc. that won't tolerate any frost, though you can talk with gardeners in your area to see whether this is actually a good time where you are. I'm in a river valley and so often get late spring frosts, so this is actually a good time for me, since there are often frosts until about the third week of May.

There are (2) Wolf ranges - all gas or dual-fuel. The dual-fuel has a fairly distinctive appearance. The all gas is similar to Capital in some ways. If you like red knobs, you can buy different knobs for the Capital that is reddish on chrome. Or you could buy a Blue-Star and purchase red knobs to replace the black ones. If you get the Capital Culinarian manual clean, it will not have the rotisserie or glide-out racks. If by "backstory" you are referring to Capital Culinarian's performance - I don't believe anything except Blue-Star will come close. My first Culinarian customer loves the low-to-high and even performance of the burner. It's going to boil water at least 30% faster than Wolf, and that's not even factoring in how evenly the heat is distributed on the Culinarian. By the way, the Culinarian oven door is better insulated compared to the Wolf all-gas range, which one of my customers said can get hot to the touch when using the oven.

I don't know about the recessed outlet, but I've had cords under my rugs for years. I did get some of those flat but stronger extension cords for the portion under the rug. You could hardly tell where the cord was. You could notice if you stepped on it, but you couldn't tell just from looking. I think I have heard that it's a fire hazard, so I'm not saying it's definitely safe. I don't know how else you're supposed to have lamps available near your furniture unless it's all agains the wall, though.

I'm assuming you are talking about a beam to support the joists of the 2nd floor. There is no code issue with installing the beam into the floor system of the 2nd floor. We do it all the time with both LVLs and steel I beams. The structural engineer will need to size the header and load points as well as make any adjustments to the foundation or footings. What we do is build temp wall to either side of the existing load bearing wall. We then remove the wall and cut out the joists for the width of the beam to be installed. You can then raise the beam into place and hanger the existing joists onto it. Install your load points, and increase foundation as needed before removing the temp walls. If the engineer sizes an LVL beam that will be taller than the floor system go to a steel W8 x whatever is needed to ensure it fits within the 2x10 floor system. Pack out the beam with 2x material and through bolt it. This will give you something to nail your hangers to. Code does not allow anything to be drilled into the beam so plumbing and electrical will need to be rerouted. In this ceiling we have a steel beam with two sets of LVLs attached to it and the floor joists so we could remove off set load bearing walls in this 1950s home. It's carrying a story and a half above. It can be done!
