If you are a small business and not using a bar code scanner, then I recommend quickbooks pro. It has some hair pulling glitches, but lots of flexibility. It does everything but whistle Dixie, can track inventory and keeps track of job costs and employee compensation. The more you use it, the more you can tweek it and make it give you the information you want. It's the third accounting program I hit on and after I got used to it, like it the best. It practically does my sales taxes for me and leaves a very easily followed paper trail. Ages your receivables and automatically tacks on interest and prints out professional quality invoices and bills.

Dear Mar. I know exactly what you are talking about, the closest store to me is about a mile but it is probably the tinest store I have ever seen. I truly believe that I have more supplies than they do. I think the lady only has a small section devoted to the scrapbook items in the store so she can claim she is a scrapbook store owner and buy her stuff wholesale. (Which come to think of it, maybe I need to try that. LOL) The next store to me is about 20 miles or better though traffic from hell and it is tiny too. After those two I have to drive 40 miles one way to go to a decent store. :( As for the acid pen they usually sell for under $2.00, I think, Walmart just had theirs reduced. Penny

Thanks localeater. Co-co I'm definitely in the narrow clearance club. DH and I sweated every inch of that layout and installation, with some adjustments made along the way. In fact even today I asked the marble installers if they'd take a chunk out of the Caesarstone on either side of the range so it could be pushed in just a little bit more. They were nice enough to do that for me even though it had been installed by another company. As it turns out, we're very comfortable with all clearances except between the island and the fridge wall, which is a bit tight. The sink and stove clearances feel roomy, but then again I'm the only cook and DH is the clean-up guy so we're not usually on those sides at the same time. We're going to get lower/smaller stools at some point. Sink to island: 37" Range to island: 39" Fridge cabinets to island: 39" The grate is a trivet from Ikea. So pretty! My favorite everyday casual plates (melamine but so pretty) are getting damaged after a good 7-8 years of use. I might look for something like this, I think it would fit my house well.
