Should I sand and redo the whole thing?

I built some cabs and doors and painted (spray) with BM Advance. I've come to the conclusion that one door needs about 1/8" trimmed off the edge. (So, I'll be left with bare wood there.)

The paint was applied a couple of months ago.

Do I need to repaint the whole door? I just don't know how to do a seamless repair since sanding will be involved. . I was hoping to just roll on the edge where I cut so I don't have to deal with the mess the sprayer involves. I guess my question is, do I need to sand the paint? Or, will any overlapping be ok without sanding.

I would not think you would need to re-spray the door. Just take a mini roller, and hit the corners lightly with it after you roll the edge...should blend in ok. The problems arise when you are trying to touch up a door that was sprayed in the center of a panel or something.
