Scooping Paint By Hand

We picked up one more gallon to finish the house and I loaded it into the van. When I opened the van door, the paint can jumped out and the lid came off on my concrete driveway.

I watched the can evacuate, like life running out of a hunted animal. It seems like I stared for hours, but in a fraction of a second, I righted the can and wearing one of my best shirts and shorts, started scooping the paint back into the can by hand. It was silky smooth. I told my wife to get the hose.

I recovered all but about an eighth of a gallon. We hosed off the can, the driveway, and a toolbox that fell out too. I only got a few specks on my flip flops, and my wife and I didn't even get into a fight over whose fault this was.
