| We are buying an older home that has wood paneling in the family room. It's a large, open room with vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams. It currently has white ceramic tile :( I want to paint the paneling with a fresh, airy color, and to my surprise, the more I look at grays online the more I like it. I never would've guessed gray, since our furniture is light brown and black. When gray works, it's great. But it scares me a bit, because I keep reading about the "undertones". I definintely don't want greenish-gray. Maybe something with warm/brownish undertones, but not exactly a taupe shade (I have so much trouble seeing these so-called undertones!). Do you have any suggestions for what gray shade paint you've actually used and loved? Something that would work well with a light brown couch and brick fireplace? Looking for input from people who've been there, done that! Thank you for any advice you can provide! |
