One or two coats of Farrow & Ball?

I am planning to paint one of the bedrooms with F&B Pavilion Blue in Modern Emulsion. Total wallspace of 360 sq ft (which is a pretty precise estimate), I am told a gallon of Modern Emulsion covers 480 sq ft. Pavilion Blue is a fairly light color & whenever I paint a light color over smooth white walls, all it ever ends up needing is one good coat, plus light touch-ups. Even painting rich, dark colors over white walls, I have managed just fine with moderate touch-ups to a really good 1st coat. Having said that... I've only ever used the "mainstream" U.S. brands (BM, SW, Behr) & have heard that F&B goes on differently. Plus, the F&B sales rep insists that two coats are needed to achieve the "true color..." but doesn't every paint rep say that?

I'm hoping to get the input of people who've actually used F&B paints and have a more objective opinion on 1 vs 2 coat. TIA!
