Paint or sealer of any kind for formica countertops

Posted by puzzlefan (My Page) on

The countertops (formica) have reached their usual stage for their age and are dull and scratched. I don't want to replace them for another two years. Is there a clear finish or epoxy finish that is food safe and will adhere to formica?

Don't waste your time...there's no sealer (Poly) that's totally food-safe.
Rust-oleum has a countertop paint, but ideally, take a mouse sander and scuff the surface first.

I'm not sure I would even bother with that...just suffer it out until new c-tops are bought!

I dunno, Faron. Just got an invite from Kathy Boyd at Art Fusion about a product called iCoat for counter tops - and something about floors too??? Here's the link to the invite and info.

Here is a link that might be useful: iCoat for Counter Tops

Does anyone really put food directly on their countertops?
