Help finalizing products for painting kitchen cabinets

I want to paint our oak kitchen cabinets cream and add a brown glaze in the crevices. I have a spare vanity that I plan to test on first. I don't want the grain to show, so I am going to use FPOE brushing putty. I understand that an oil primer needs to be used with this, correct? What would you recommend if I don't go with the FPOE oil primer/undercoat?

For the paint, I am trying to decide between BM satin impervo (the waterborne version), BM Advance, or Cabinet Coat. Which would you recommend of these and why?

Since I plan to use a glaze, do I need a topcoat? If so, what would you recommend? Speaking of glaze, since I want to just add color to the grooves, should I use a gel stain instead? I am a little confused on the issue.

Last question, the ends of the cabinets are the fake laminate. What should I use for priming that part of the cabinet?

TIA for the help.
