| My home has vinyl siding. Unfortunately, the previous owners chose to have no contrasting color for the trim work and we don't like the way it looks.
In particular, I'm focused on the:
My question is - these areas (or most of them?) are factory-painted aluminum, not vinyl. Would it be a good option to paint them rather than replace them if the purpose is to change the color. My bid to replace all of the above is over $7K so I'm guessing the painting option would be less but I don't want to do the wrong thing. Here's a picture of the house. I was thinking about changing the above to a creamy white and then adding gray shutters and a new gray roof.

| Exterior trim like yours is painted every day. As long as the trim aluminum is clean and dull, any quality exterior acrylic enamel will do well. I prefer Duration Exterior, since it's self priming. Be sure all caulking is done with acrylic latex caulk and has at least 4 hours to dry before painting. |
