Painting exterior trim if it is aluminum capping??

My home has vinyl siding. Unfortunately, the previous owners chose to have no contrasting color for the trim work and we don't like the way it looks.

In particular, I'm focused on the:

- capping around the windows

- soffit

- gutters and downspouts

- garage door and around the garage door

- around the front door

- fascia/rakes

My question is - these areas (or most of them?) are factory-painted aluminum, not vinyl. Would it be a good option to paint them rather than replace them if the purpose is to change the color. My bid to replace all of the above is over $7K so I'm guessing the painting option would be less but I don't want to do the wrong thing.

Here's a picture of the house. I was thinking about changing the above to a creamy white and then adding gray shutters and a new gray roof.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!
