Formulation Problem? BM Advance

Posted by Marlo34 (My Page) on

Anyone have problems getting the right colour?

The BM store tried mixing Oxford White CC-30 using four batches and none them matched the paint chip. Some batches produced bluer whites and a couple were close.

The store called head office about it and they have not heard about any formulation problems with Advance. Perhaps I am the first?

In the meantime, I need a replacement and I hope Cabinet Coat for my staircase will be a good paint.

No you're not the first noting problems with BM Advance. There's a prior thread on GW discussing BM Advance use on an island instead of the BM Classic (in a BM white shade) and how different it was. It might have been in the kitchen threads.

I was told BM Advance has more gray undertones by our BM store manager. I also note they are not selling it anymore: just the BM Classic. Good luck.
