| On my new construction the painter did not paint the top or bottom of my interior doors. I believe the doors are MDF material. A friend who is a painter said that the tops and bottom should be painted for any warranty issue I may have in the future, the mfg. requires it.
Should I request them to be painted? Is it normal to paint them? |

| It's true, though I don't really think painting the tops and bottoms of the doors does anything except validate the warranty. It was more important for real wood doors that it be done, but now can still be used by the manufacturer to weasel out of any problems that may arise with the doors. |
