| Hi all,
A simple question I hope, I haven't done this before so I wanted to make sure I don't screw up. I wanted to stain our front door (see the pictures attached) to a darker (cherry) shade from the present walnut. I wanted to know what are the steps to go about it. Do I have to first use a chemical stripper/sanding to remove the existing finish? Is there any way I can apply the new stain over the existing one? Pros and cons of either method. I'd appreciate as much information as you can provide for this project. Thank you and god bless!

| Clean & scuff-sand the door to an evenly dulled surface. Here's the important part... Faron |
