I just learned that my favorite paint store closed down, I'm so disappointed. They were all retired painters and were so knowledgable, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

If I can't find BM paint samples locally, what online resources do you recommend for mail order? I found one company that sends 2 oz samples (Guirys), but is that going to be enough paint to test a swatch?

Another online source offers pint samples on sale right now for about $4.64 and free shipping for orders over $50 (and I *think* I have enough samples I want to try out). This seems like a good deal considering BM's website pint's are $6.99. Eek. But a pint seems like more than I need. Go figure.

Are there any other places you might recommend to purchase mail order paint samples, or should I just try my luck locally?

Are you typically happy with the 2 oz samples or do you get the pints? What's a reasonable price to pay?
