Ahhh you are talking about Fine Paints of Europe for sure. Yes, nothing we make here in the US can duplicate that finish. I haven't used it for years but I think what you want is Hollandac Brilliant which is high gloss. Look out though....it is oil based and about $95 for a eurogallon, if that is a word. A eurogallon is less than an americangallon.

Oh yes, you have got to try the Brilliant. You will love it!! It is thick, mirror shiny & goes on like silk! People just want to touch it! *LOL* Another expensive but worth it product! Hubby rolled his eyes at the price but once he saw the amazing results he keeps saying "Can we use it on this or this?" :)

All my doors are now done with the Brilliant. I started with screen doors which look like new after 2 years. This summer I redid the front door with it and the entire front porch (which had 2 y.o. paint & looked terrible) and front trim. We'll redo the trim in back next year.

I am told it's expected to hold up for 8 years.

The paint also comes in pints. One pint of the blue did all the trim on 2 screen doors and 2 coats of my front door with some left over.

It is excellent to work with and has excellent results. If you want the Euro door look (I love the English doors as well) this is the way to go.
