Bought a tiny house and need to repaint the attic which the previous owners turned into a bedroom, walls are satin, great job, looks professional. While home was on market vandals broke in, partied, and threw around cans of stored paint and ruined about 1/4 of the room (And the carpet). I have a very close match in flat. Is just sanding ok, or do I need to prime as well?

If the paint colors are similar, two coats of paint will suffice. If a darker color was spread over walls, use primer to block it. The minimum I would do is: Wash with Dirtex

Thank you for the advice, the project should be done soon. I had best not find out the kids responsible for this.....
