Aura Questions

I'm going to paint my son's room navy blue with white trim and ceiling. Thanks to the advice here, I'm going to go with BM Aura eggshell for the walls, unless my painter really, really balks.

The walls currently have a wallpaper border running around the room at about chair rail height. Below that, they are a very dark teal and above the wallpaper they are a pale green. The painter will remove the wallpaper and prep appropriately.

The guy in the BM paint store swears up and down that with Aura my painter doesn't need to prime, not even over the dark teal and that it will take two coats tops to cover completely with the navy.

I hate to pay for the time and materials for unnecessary priming, but I hate even more to pay for painting navy blue Aura on my walls and then finding out it's not working properly and he needs to go back and prime or do more than 2 coats or whatever.

What do you think?
