Paint Pulling Off Wall

Just painted the oriented strand board in the garage with Sherwin Williams A100 latex top coat.

I have a bunch of homemade shelf brackets made from 1x pine that I need to attach to the walls.

Is there anything I can put on the back of the wood that will be pressing against the wall to prevent the paint from being pulled off, should the bracket need to be moved at a later date?

In my last house, I had a cleat on the drywall in the garage for some storage bins. Went to remove it, and it was stuck to the wall. This was 4 years after it was painted. The board came off and the paint with it, and some of the drywall.

Trying to avoid that issue again.

I am thinking maybe 3m painters tape stuck the the wood brackets before mounting them to the OSB.

Any tips or suggestions?
