Need a paint that is strong, won't block, and where I can put a couple of coats on without sanding between. It seems like in the past when I've painted sometimes the paint scratches easily, is patchy, etc. I'm trying to do this right, sanding and priming, any suggestions for paint brands that will really hold up?

Never mind, I found in several threads here brands names that would be good choices. I also saw online a paint called Break-through by Vanex that is supposedly long wearing as well.

There are so many popular brands that are available in the market, it is very tough for a house owner to decide exactly which is the best paint brand. The best thing that he can do is to go through the customer reviews of the popular paint brands and then only decide the best brand of house paints.
