The projects at the darling dwelling continue! I'm thinking of painting or newly built bar (thank you to all who suggested the stainless steel. it's a winner and the direction we're headed!) I'm thinking of painting the bar base black and want a little higher gloss than this. Flooring is concrete, stainless steel bar going with the industrial look and would love suggestions on a great black paint.

Photo for reference of the style we're headed:

RE: glossy black paint

If you want a high gloss black paint you cannot go wrong with BM Impervo High Gloss or Satin. We used in in the alkyd formula for our front door (both exterior & interior) and also on the powder room cabinets. For the interior doors I used BM Impervo High Gloss in the latex formula (because clean-up is sooo much easier). In my opinion, if you can can get the alkyd it's a better finish, but if not, the latex will be fine -- sand in between thoroughly dried coats.

Enjoy your new kitchen!
