wood stain dripped on painted wall

We just had our den repainted. Some new molding was put in afterwards and needed to be restained. We dripped some wood stain down the walls. We put some paint over the stains, but those areas don't look very good. Any suggestions?

Most touch ups look best if you use a roller because it creates a texture similar to what was used when the walls was initially painted. Brush touch ups generally do not blend in very well, unless they are close to the trim.
