Painting Scalloped Concrete Edging

Just pulled some concrete edging from one spot, and want to use it again in a different location. Problem is, its really ugly. I would like to paint it. How to go about it, and what type of prep and paint should I use?

1st step is to power wash it, and then ???

If I were doing it, I would clean the edging as best I could, let it dry, and then start painting with whatever exterior acrylic latex paint that I had around - house paint, porch paint, whatever.

I am going to clean them all with the power washer and scrub them. But, I didn't know if I had to prim it or use a special paint.
I mean they are going into the ground partially and then the mulch is on one side, and grass on the other.
I love to paint, so if i had to re-do again I would.
