| I looked through some older posts to research prep work, I am painting over stain. It seems like different people do different steps after sanding, and prior to primer: tack rags, washing with tsp. vacuuming, mineral spirits. What is best? |

| I have been painting for 25 years now, and still have never used a tack rag. It's true that there are many ways to remove the dust before priming and I think as long as you remove it somehow, the results will be good. I just use a dust brush and my hands. |
