brushmarks on my kitchen island

I'm painting my kitchen island (4 feet x 2 feet) from black to white. I cleaned, sanded, think I did all the "right" preparation.

I used Zinsser 123 Bullseye Plus primer, applied with a 2" brush. I even put a little Floetrol in it and the brush strokes are VERY visible.

Is this normal with priming? (please say yes!). Should I have used a larger brush since the one side of my island is 4 feet wide x 3 feet high?

I was planning to sand lightly, then paint with BM White Dove (2 coats) with a brush to avoid the stipple of the roller. But now I'll take the stipple marks any day over the brushmarks.

Will the paint cover the brushmarks from the primer? Should I use a roller for the paint instead of a brush? Any specific type of BM paint I should use?

Thanks!
